Babs stops her cycle inches away from the wall and looks up. It’s not too much of a challenge to climb, and it’s unclear what exactly is on the other side. No, I do know. Dick and Tim are over there, and I have to get them back. She gets off her cycle and jumps over the blockade, landing in a crouch on the other side. She stands up and immediately, chills wrack across her body. Carnivals were never really her thing. She slowly walks forwards, not knowing what to expect.

As soon as you land all the lights flicker on and the din of carnival music begins, slowly playing long and drawn out, as if the record was broken. the speakers crackle on and a pre-recorded message plays. “Heya Batgirl! Welcome to Mistah J’s special little carnival! All just for youoooo!”

Babs pauses mid-step as Harley’s voice plays through the loudspeakers.. She takes a breath and she thinks to herself, ‘This is it. You’re here and you’re going to save whoever they have locked up.’ She begins to run now, knowing that the faster she finds them, the sooner she can get out of the carnival and bring either Dick or Tim to safety. If only it were that easy…

You hear a loud whirring as you run past a row of gaming booths, and a large array of darts suddenly shoot out from each booth you near, being launched lightning fast by hidden motors.

Eventully you come across a large blockade of mostly plywood, painted in garish colors, that once bright, are now covered in grime and make for a sinister carnival like feel to this section of town. The wall isnt much higher then you, but it’s message is clear. Stay. Out. Joker’s definatly here.

As you go, you see alot more tagging, but these ones make you much more wary. Joker’s never been a solo operation, but he seems to have a foothold now, becuse the city slowly becomes more and more covered with symbols of him spraypainted on walls and junked cars.

As you wind the clock you hear a ticking, but it’s strnage, it seems to move in a pattern of quick and long beeps, like morse code, but stay silent whenever it hits one of the painted numbers. The code in morse spells out only gibberish, so your left with a few other options. Namely, street numbers and turns.

I hate to see idontxneedsaving and asksodapopprincess think so detrimentally of themselves. They’re both wonderful writers. Also, Terra’s mun’s roleplaying as Terra during her days as Slade’s spy is a really cool, original twist, an Poppy is such a sweet and adorable OC. One top of that, the muns seem like honestly lovely people.

The time on the clock is getting closer, if the time is a factor your running out. The churches could be a good start, their on seperate sides of the city, so perhaps the left on holds the answer? but if it doesnt by time you get their, you won’t have time to reach the other church if your wrong. And if the churches have nothing to do with it, their arnt many bell related places in Gotham. And if the bell has nothing to do with it your lost. But then you notice something. The glass covering the clock face is gone. and so is the second hand. And the numbers 3, 7 and 11 have been recently painted. Maybe these mean something important. And the clock is stopped, but it has a wind-up key in the back, maybe if you get it going youll get an idea?

Joker never does anything on accident, so he specifically ripped that on off, but why? Is he refering to something? Is he giving you one of his twisted warnings? Why does he want you, but not Batman? He’s never shown specific intreat in you before, or even Robin really. What is his game. You ponder all this on the way to Gotham, the reletivly bright designs of Jump giving way to darker stone and taller buildings topped with stone gargoyles. You feel memories radiate from every street, alley and high rise, some good, many bad, few precious. You see signs of recent struggles between gangs, taggings that denote terriotor, and on every street at least one police car. You remeber very clearly why you left this city now. Even with  the threat of Batman looming over them, they know he can’t stop them all.
